I have also thought about the male and female gaze. As my target audience are females I thought about how my main image would be attractive to females. After asking a few people, their main response was that they see celebrities as idols and the fact my model is smiling, it makes the image more appealing. One person also mentioned that they like to relate to the image as they want to be like there idol, and they like the fact they can find some similarities in themselves and the image. For example, using make up.
I also thought about the male gaze and the idea that my model is smiling makes her look happy and attractive appeals to males.
